Meet Miss Teen Minnesota International 2012!

Gabby Taylor (Miss Teen Stillwater) was crowned Miss Teen Minnesota International 2012 on March 11th in St. Cloud. Minnesota, where she competed with other "county/city" title holders from across the state. These women are recognized for their achievements as individuals.

"Accidents Hurt, Safety Doesn't - Sports Safety Education and Awareness"
Gabby is an active advocate for the National Center for Sports Safety (NCSS). There are over 775,000 emergency room visits each year that are caused from sports related injuries. At the age of 16, she suffered a devastating cheerleading accident that resulted in the paralysis of her right arm. She had to re-learn EVERYTHING! From buttoning a shirt, curling her her, and doing homework, to adapting to a new life without cheerleading, exercise and normalcy.

Today she speak to students and coaches about the importance of listening to your bodies natural pain signals and maintaining high standards regarding safety. "No pain, no gain" no longer applies when your health is at risk. Proper certification and safety seminars are key in ensuring the health of our youth. The greatest wealth in life will ALWAYS be our health.
